Bush’s Player of the Week- Dakota Cahill -Georgetown

Player of the Week – Week 11

by Daniel Miller

It was a dramatic night for Georgetown, as they entered the final week of the regular season needing a win against state-ranked Vandegrift and a Leander loss to make the playoffs. Senior running back and Bush’s Chicken iHSFAN Player of the Week Dakota Cahill did his part to make sure that Friday was not his last game as an Eagle, rushing for 128 yards and three touchdowns.

The Cahill-led offensive attack of Georgetown pulled off the upset over Vandegrift in a high scoring game, winning by a score of 42-28. Couple that with Leander’s 46-44 loss to Dripping Springs, and Georgetown squeaks into the playoffs to host Reagan on Thursday night.
